Creature Commandos On Max is coming to an end, and creator James Gunn is already building excitement for what’s to come.
The seven-episode animated series, produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, promises a special treat for fans of the DC Universe.
When asked by a fan on Threads if the series would feature any post-credits scenes, Gunn confirmed, “The season finale, yes.”
However, he did not reveal whether these scenes will refer to the newly announced second season or other DC Studios properties, such as Superman or Pacemaker Season 2.
According to Deadline, Creature Commandos Marked the first project within the DC Extended Universe to be helmed by Gunn and Peter Safran as co-heads of DC Studios.
Specifically, the series is part of an integrated storytelling approach, where the actors will portray the same characters in the animated and live-action projects.
Additionally, the star-studded voice cast includes Steve Agee as Economus, Maria Bakalova as Princess Alana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao, Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flagg Sr., Sean Gunn as G.I. Robot and Weasel, David Harbor are Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
Following the success of the series, Max recently greenlit a second season of Creature Commandos when he expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are very excited to be teaming up with Max for another season of Creature Commandos mayhem. ”
