Fraudsters around the world are impersonating DHL lost delivery notes by adopting the same typeface and color.
DHL courier delivery scams have recently targeted a large number of people globally. Reports of the scam have surfaced in the past few days from as far away as Singapore, India and Ireland. The most important aspect of this scam is that fraudsters have been able to copy DHL’s identical yellow color as well as its design, typeface, tone and language.
Since DHL is a worldwide carrier and interacts with the public constantly, this new scam has become widespread.
That’s all about DHL Courier QR Code Scheme.
If you’ve ever used a courier service, you know that couriers will call you if an order can’t be delivered or leave a delivery notice if you can’t be reached. DHL also uses the same procedure. Additionally, the DHL Missed Delivery message includes a QR code and instructions on how to set up a different delivery attempt.
You may have noticed that DHL uses a standard template, medium postcard size, for all missed delivery notes. A QR code and a link to the official DHL website, not any other website, will be present on the genuine DHL Missed Delivery Note.
It is important to note that exit your browser and contact DHL immediately if you are redirected to a non-DHL website. Additionally, keep in mind that DHL will never charge you for rescheduling a delivery. So, if you are asked to pay, you can be sure that the website is fraudulent.
Additionally, if you ever receive a small delivery note, check the waybill number on the official courier’s website. If the delivery is authentic, you can see the information. You can tell if it’s fake.
Alternatively, you can scan the QR code to check if it takes you to the DHL website. Finally, check all of your e-commerce sites where you order frequently to see if you’ve recently placed any orders that are being shipped by DHL. You can also call DHL India customer service to check if it is a legitimate missed delivery note or not.
Meanwhile, DHL India, Ireland, and other countries have issued public interest advisories regarding the missing delivery card. It should take you to the “Official DHL” website instead of another website, and should not request payment.
