Legendary football star Cristiano Ronaldo has finally broken his silence on the long-running ‘GOAT’ debate with Argentine rival Lionel Messi.
In a video recently uploaded to his YouTube channel, UR Cristiano, the star footballer engages in a penalty shootout with popular YouTuber MrBeast.
In the video, the American YouTuber and three of his friends, all dressed in Al Nasr jerseys, act as goalkeepers while Ronaldo takes a shot on goal.
During the challenge, MrBeast can be heard shouting, “Nolan says he doesn’t like you, he thinks you’re not the GOAT…he thinks Messi is better! He calls it football!” , and he said Messi is the GOAT.”
In response, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United player quipped, “Who said Messi is better than me?” and burst into laughter.
Earlier, in a press conference, the Portuguese forward expressed his thoughts on the comparison with the Inter Miami star.
“It’s not important now whether I’m the best or not, I don’t care anymore. It’s good for a player to score goals, but for me it’s better for the team to win.”
“I’m used to breaking records, and I don’t look for them anymore. The most important thing for me now is to enjoy and help Al-Nasr and my teammates win,” he continued.
Ronaldo is 58 goals ahead of rival Lionel Messi who has scored 842 goals while Brazilian legend Pele is third with 765.
Meanwhile, the Al-Nasr captain said during a chat with his former Man United team-mate Rio Ferdinand that he wants to hit 1,000 goals in the future.
