A 19-year-old man has been assaulted in central Brighton, according to police.
Officers said he was approached by two unknown men near Harry Ramsden’s restaurant in Old Stan at around 03:30 GMT on Saturday.
She was taken to Stan Lane by the men who allegedly raped her.
Det Insp Sean Booth, from Sussex Police, described it as “a deeply worrying incident”.
Officers have released images of the two men they want to speak to as Sussex Police continue to appeal for more information.
Det Insp Booth added: “We are assisting the victim as our inquiries continue.
“Stein Lane is an area that is heavily footed both day and night as it is a popular cut-through route connecting East Street with Old Stane, and we know that there were many people in the area at the time of the attack. .
“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around this time, or anyone who recognizes the two men in these photographs, to please come forward.
“Your information may be important as we work to identify those responsible.
“Sexual violence has no place in Sussex, and we take any reports of this nature extremely seriously.”
