Young Thug and Leena Syed have been in the headlines recently for their leaked telephone conversations from jail.
The conversation is said to be from 2022, and the clip showed Thug asking Syed, an Afghan-American Instagram model, to “move on” from him while he was facing legal issues at the time.
The conversation lasted about 15 minutes and showed the rapper getting emotional as he tried to get his thoughts across.
While Syed can be seen professing her love for the rapper, “I don’t like anybody… I want you.”
The video, which went viral on December 23, is hard to watch as now both Thug and Syed have gone their separate ways.
Interestingly, Syed is reportedly pregnant with American professional boxer Dwayne Heaney’s child.
As for Thug, he is currently in a relationship with Maria the Scientist since 2021. The couple had previously maintained a united front amid the rapper’s legal woes and for that, they have won praise from their fans.

After the news, Thug denied his romantic relationship with Syed and expressed his thoughts on the whole situation.
He alleged that he is only friends with the Instagram model and nothing more.
On December 24, the rapper took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, “Man Me and Twine talking about some other serious (rubbish). I don’t know if he Why talked about loving other people or anything else I am not giving (elaborate) about no… never never never will.
After the jail call went viral, Leena Syed also spoke.
Syed also clarified his stand on his Instagram story and said, “This video is from before I met BD. I will never talk to a thug or any other man.

Meanwhile, fans believed that these statements by both Thug and Syed appeared to save face in the context of their current relationship.
“If I were Maria the Scientist, I’d bump into thugs,” one user wrote.
