Here are 5 meals from cartoons that every ’90s kid will remember.
1. Spinach from ‘Poppy the Sailor’
Many parents of ’90s kids are thankful for Popeye. Why? Whenever our favorite ‘sailor guy’ needed strength to fight the bad guys, he would eat a can of spinach and be fueled with great energy. Inspired by Popeye, many children ate their spinach or “spinach” without fuss and with great enthusiasm.
2. Cheese from ‘Tom and Jerry’
Restaurant and cafe menus these days are probably filled with indulgent pizzas and sandwiches. However, during the 90s, cheese was still a delicacy and something that was not readily available. Since kids love cheese, many of us were tempted by blocks of yellow cheese with holes, as shown in the famous.Tom and Jerry‘The cartoon show. We’d love a bite of this creamy cheese – one of Jerry’s favorite snacks.
3. Bug Bunny’s Carrots from ‘Looney Tunes Cartoons’
Another healthy food that many kids like to snack on is carrots. There is no point in guessing which cartoon character they like the most – the funny and interesting Bugs Bunny. Whether it’s a hunter trying to kill him or a jealous Daffy Duck looking for ways to snatch him away, our favorite rabbit character will handle all challenges with ease while chowing down on carrots. Don’t forget his famous dialogue while eating a carrot.”What’s up friend? (Uh… what’s up doc?)”

4. Banana bigger than ‘Oswald’
Did you love Oswald as a child? Who are we kidding? Chances are, you still do. Oswald is kind and caring, loving and nurturing. This blue octopus is a sweet friend and a great neighbor. Oswald likes to do different activities with his friends. Remember when he grew bananas in his house? It was so big that it took up the entire room. In pure Oswald fashion, he shared it with everyone and they had a big banana feast.
5. Food machines from ‘The Jetsons’
This cartoon show features the Jetson family living in a utopian future. In the future, people don’t need to cook and can fix any meal at the click of a button. ‘Foodarackacycle’ is a food serving machine that makes and distributes any food at the touch of a button. They also have a machine called the ‘Manulator’, which allows you to make any sandwich by simply declaring the filling. Cool, right?
