The previous record was held by legendary Madrid coach Miguel Muse, who was in charge for 14 years between 1960 and 1974, winning two European Cups, nine league titles, two Copa del Reys and an Intercontinental Cup.
“I’m very happy … it’s a success,” Ancelotti said of Wednesday’s win over Pachuca. “We gradually took control, and finished the game well.
