On December 17, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that Beyoncé now has 103 certified titles, surpassing all other female artists. The news comes just one day after Swift received recognition for her 6x platinum album. Department of Poets – Highest level of certification achieved in 2024.
The RIAA celebrated Beyoncé’s achievement, President and COO Michelle Ballantine said in a statement, “We are thrilled to recognize the incredible talent, hard work, and creative passion displayed across diverse genres. On this important milestone. Congratulations, Beyoncé, Parkwood Entertainment, Columbia Records — and we see you, BeyHive, on repeat!
Beyoncé’s latest certifications include platinum honors for her latest album, 2024. Cowboy CarterWhile hits like Texas Hold’em And 16 vehicles Achieved 2x Platinum and Gold respectively. His previous album, 2022 Renaissancecontinues to grow with 2x platinum recognition.
Even his famous collaborations with Jay-Z, Drunk on love (2013) and Crazy in love(2003) are still breaking barriers, both now certified 8x platinum.
Songs and albums earn RIAA Gold certification if they sell at least 500,000 units. Titles that reach 1 million units sold receive platinum certification, with multi-platinum awarded for each additional 1 million units sold. Diamond certifications are reserved for titles that sell 10 million copies, making these achievements a true testament to an artist’s commercial impact.
