The Princess of York, who splits her time between Portugal and Britain, has apparently followed in the footsteps of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by calling off Kate’s ceremony.
Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter has reportedly traveled abroad for a “Together at Christmas” carol concert, although this has not been confirmed.
Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooks Bank works for property developer Michael Meldman’s Discovery Land company in Portugal.
Other royals who missed the Christmas concert were Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, both of whom have been locked in a feud with the Prince and Princess of Wales since 2020.
The parents of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have remained close with Princess Eugenie, 34, who visited the Sussexes in California in 2022. Harry and Meghan.
They moved to California that year, and are now understood to have bought a holiday home in Portugal to build closer ties with Britain.
Harry and Meghan recently bought a £3.6 million villa near Princess Eugenie’s residence. The property is not yet ready for use and will only be used as a holiday home.
According to insiders, the villa in Portugal is more of an investment than anything else and construction is not yet complete.”
An insider said Express: “It’s not bought as a new home, but more as a holiday retreat and something they can invest their money in to protect their assets.”
However, the Sussexes, who moved to America after stepping down from royal duties in 2020, are still enjoying life in the prosperous coastal community of Montecito.
