In an open letter, Badr expressed remorse for his actions and sought forgiveness from Nawaz Sharif, his family and the party.
He explained that his forgiveness arose out of personal reflection and fear of divine accountability. He said that this letter has been written purely out of fear of the hereafter and the voice of my conscience without any pressure or greed.
Badr pleaded guilty to fabricating and spreading false propaganda against Nawaz and his family, damaging their reputation and gaining power through dishonesty.
Condemning the false cases registered against Nawaz Sharif, he said that he was imprisoned, Allah’s justice has restored the honor and position of Nawaz Sharif.
He cited incidents such as the appointment of Usman Buzdar as Punjab Chief Minister and allegations of corruption under the influence of PTI founder Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi as reasons for leaving the party.
He wrote that I left PTI when corruption was openly allowed during Bushra Bibi’s tenure.
Badr accused the PTI government of squandering the national treasury, straining international relations and inciting rebellion against the army.
He also praised Nawaz Sharif’s leadership and his team’s efforts to stabilize the country and improve diplomatic relations.
He said that your leadership, along with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has brought stability to Pakistan.
While apologizing to the nation and the parents of young PTI supporters, Badar admitted that the PTI had misled the youth and created division.
“We in the PTI have poisoned Pakistani politics and confused young minds, a mistake we will pay for for generations,” he admitted.
Confirming the authenticity of his apology, Javed Badr while talking to Geo News said that I am the one who wrote this open letter to Nawaz Sharif.
He concluded by vowing to take full responsibility for his past mistakes and hoped to meet Nawaz Sharif in person and apologise.
He said that if I ever meet Nawaz Sharif, I will confess my mistakes to him.
