LAHORE: The city witnessed cold and dry weather with partly cloudy conditions on Thursday, while the Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather for the next 24 hours.
The Meteorological Department says that continental winds are blowing in most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is likely to reach the upper parts of the country from Saturday night. On Thursday, the minimum temperature was recorded in Leh where the mercury dropped to minus 10 degree Celsius while in Lahore it was 8.6 and maximum 25 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, the city’s AQI ranged from 270 to 158 and the PM2.5 count was 13.1 times the World Health Organization’s annual PM2.5 guideline value.
