While the Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson and other acts transformed into the holiday season, Flavor Flav Rockefeller was at odds with the festive spirit at the Christmas event.
In a now-deleted post on X, formerly Twitter, the 65-year-old rapper shared an unpleasant encounter with security during his annual visit to NBC. Christmas at Rockefeller Center ceremony in New York City on Wednesday, December 4.
“I feel weird,” Flavo, whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., wrote that he was in the Backstreet Boys’ dressing room when a security guard approached him and told him, “NBC wants me in this area. I don’t want to, and I need to go.”

Despite the unpleasant experience, Flav didn’t want to cloud the festival’s celebration for other artists.
He praised Jennifer Hudson’s performance before praising the Backstreet Boys.
