LAHORE: Forman Christian College University (FCCU) hosted the International Communication Association (ICA) conference for the first time on its campus on Thursday.
The two-day meeting is an effort to bring together world leaders, scholars, and climate communication advocates. The event marks a historic milestone as ICA partners with FCCU, symbolizing a shared commitment to complement academic research with public engagement to address climate challenges. The opening day sessions were packed with insightful addresses, including opening remarks by Conference Chair Dr. Frost Jabeen and a warm welcome by FCCU Rector Dr. Jonathan S. Adelton, Dean of Humanities Dr. Altafullah Khan and Dr. Bushra Rehman. . The AMCAP president emphasized the importance of the conference in accelerating the academic and public discourse on climate. Issues Dr. Waqas Ijaz, Oxford Climate Journalism Network, UK Research Fellow, and Dr. Nowshir Contractor, Professor of Behavioral Sciences and Communication, Northwestern University, USA, also participated in the thought-provoking discussion.
