Louise Thompson and her fiance Ryan Libby teared up as they recalled their terrifying visit to a medical center in November.
The 34-year-old actress underwent emergency surgery after experiencing life-threatening peritonitis that led to septic shock.
Addressing her health ordeal for the first time on her and her fiancé’s podcast he said, he said, Thompson became emotional.
“To be honest, I took a whole load of painkillers and couldn’t scratch the surface. I was in pain all night and around 4am, I think I finally managed to get a little off. I’ve been,” she began.

“I thought if I’m not going to die with what’s inside of me, I’m going to die from the sheer pain of it because I think I’m going to have a heart attack,” she said of her harrowing experience. .
Thompson shared the details of his ‘deadly’ conditioning, explaining. “I had something called peritonitis, which can be life-threatening, it’s really dangerous. I was basically bursting with septic fluid around my abdomen, like free fluid. It’s very damaging to your organs. May be.”
“I’m embarrassed, I’m genuinely embarrassed that this is happening because I feel like my body has let me down,” she added.
