Palakkad: The Vande Bharat Express running from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram was delayed due to a technical fault near Shurnur railway station on Wednesday evening, according to railway police. The train halted at 5.30 pm near Shurnur railway bridge and remained halted till 8 pm, after which operations resumed.
Engineers have been dispatched to inspect and fix the problem, said an official at Shurnur railway station. The officer added, “The train has since been pulled up at Shurnur railway station.”
An official assured that all passengers on board were safe, and that there were no untoward incidents during the delay. He also said that a few trains were delayed as a result of the disruption.
