The Sindh Home Department has imposed a 90-day ban on the display and branding of weapons. This order was issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Iqbal Memon.
The notification states that in exercise of powers under Section 144(6) of the Criminal Code (CrPC), the provincial government has immediately imposed a ban on display and branding of weapons across the province for 90 days. has done The ban will not apply to law enforcement officials during duty hours. Guards of registered private security companies are also allowed to carry arms at their duty stations during their working hours.
However, guards are not allowed to display or brandish their weapons while moving in vehicles, and must keep their weapons inside the vehicles. Additionally, guards should not display their weapons while patrolling open spaces or performing their duties.
