The 2024 Women’s College World Series concluded in historic fashion.
The Oklahoma Sooners swept the Texas Longhorns to win their fourth consecutive national championship. The Sooners became the first Division I softball program to complete the four-peat and match Arizona for the second-most titles in Division I softball history with eight total championships.

WCWS Key Players
Jayda Coleman, OF, Oklahoma
Coleman made a wave of national championships possible for Oklahoma. A day after Florida swept Oklahoma 20-game NCAA Tournament winning streakthe earliest season in history and the chase was on the line. Coleman hit a Great walk-off home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to send the Sooners back to Oklahoma City and keep his college career alive. In the outfield, he also showcased his skills, hitting two home runs in the WCWS.
Tegan Cowan, RHP, Texas
The Longhorns’ freshman pitcher has stepped up and delivered for his team all season, and the WCWS was no different. Cowen threw two complete game shutouts against Stanford to send Texas to the championship game. Against a pesky Stanford offense, he allowed just two hits and had 15 strikeouts. Her impressive performance on the big stage was enough to get the WNBA star’s attention. Caitlin Clarke and the longhorn legend Billy Osterman.
Reagan Walsh, INF, Florida
Walsh had a stellar performance for the Gators in Game 1 of the semifinals against Oklahoma. He hit four RBI, including a three-run homer to help Florida upset the Sooners. He finished the WCWS with five RBIs and two home runs. Thanks to his performance, he was named to the 2024 All-Tournament Team.

Kendra Falby hit an inside-the-park home run
Fallby played a big role in Florida’s postseason success. Against Oklahoma, he hit just the third inside-the-park home run in WCWS history — first since 2014.

Mia Scott hit 78 mph
No hit is too hard for Scott to take. He proved that with a catch that kept the Gators from getting on base.
