Faisal Chaudhry, the lawyer of imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, criticized former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Suri for his misleading post about the former prime minister’s health. “Tweets make things more difficult. People are sitting here [Pakistan]”

He said that any PTI leader, be it Qasim Suri, should consult the top leadership of the party before issuing any statement regarding the jailed party founder. Geo News Program ‘Today with Shahzeb Khanzada’.

The former deputy speaker of the National Assembly claimed in a post on his official X-handle: “Imran Khan has been given something that threatens to destabilize him, a poisonous substance locked in a small room. has been sprayed, the smell of which is affecting his mind. Imran Khan’s health is bad and his life is in serious danger.

On Imran's health rumours, Faisal says that Suri's tweets make things more difficult.

Reacting to the statement, the former ruling party issued a statement saying that Suri had shared alarming reports about Imran from his sources. “We demand an immediate transparent update on Imran’s condition, followed by a thorough medical examination headed by Dr Asim Yusuf.”

The party further claimed that Imran Khan is currently cut off from his family, deprived of essential medical care, deprived of basic amenities, and has no reliable evidence of his well-being. “His isolation raises serious human rights concerns and calls into question the motives behind such treatment, as it amounts to endangering his life,” it added.

However, PTI leaders, including chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, rejected claims that Khan’s condition had deteriorated in jail, saying he was doing well.

Earlier today, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan also denied such claims after meeting the former prime minister in Adiala Jail.

Speaking to reporters, he dismissed rumors about the PTI founder’s deteriorating health, saying Imran was “absolutely fine”.

Moreover, Chaudhry – on the Today show – said that rumors spread faster when one is not allowed to meet the PTI founder.

Suri’s statement was also heavily criticized by Senator Faisal Vawda, who said that Imran’s statement about losing his mental balance was “the beginning of creating a narrative to call him mad”.

The former prime minister has been in jail since August last year, facing more than 100 charges brought against him by his political opponents.

PTI leadership adding to Imran’s woes: Yousafzai

Last week, PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai criticized the party leadership for the mismanagement of the Islamabad march, saying that Khan Sahib’s problems are increasing due to the mistakes of the party leadership.

“All responsibility for this lies with the central leadership,” the PTI leader said in a statement.

Yousafzai said that Allah gave him a great opportunity which he wasted. He added that if they had gone ahead in consultation with each other, the results would have been different today.

To a question, he replied that Bushra Bibi was right to take to the streets for her husband’s release from jail. “The question is, what did the rest of the leadership do? Where was the central leadership?” he asked.

It should be noted that earlier Yousafzai had also questioned the leadership of Barrister Gauhar Khan and Salman Akram Raja. He also asked that where was Sher Afzal Marwat and the leadership of Punjab during the protest?
