Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has expressed interest in visiting Pakistan during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is on a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia to participate in the ‘One Water Summit’.
The two leaders agreed to bring about a qualitative change in economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction over the progress in the implementation of Saudi MoUs and agreements regarding investment in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked the Crown Prince for his genuine love for the people of Pakistan. He reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan as soon as possible. The Crown Prince replied that he was looking forward to visiting Pakistan.
In his remarks, the Saudi Crown Prince emphasized that it is important to ensure that the two countries develop meaningful cooperation that will bring economic growth and prosperity to Pakistan.
The Crown Prince expressed his immense happiness on meeting the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the fifth time in the last six months. He said that this is a proof of true love and affection that binds the people of the two countries.
Meanwhile, in his post on social media handle X, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that frequent high-level exchanges between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are paving the way for mutually beneficial economic cooperation between the two countries.
He said that he was happy and honored to meet his brother Saudi Crown Prince on the occasion of the One Water Summit in Riyadh.
We reiterated our strong brotherly ties and discussed ways to further enhance our cooperation in trade and investment, Shahbaz said.
The Prime Minister said that he is grateful for the personal interest of the Crown Prince and his support in building close relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for the benefit of our people.
