Islamabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court has ordered to parade the identity of 281 people arrested from D Chowk during the PTI protest on November 24.
Additionally, two women among the detainees were sent to jail on judicial remand on Monday. The police produced 283 arrested persons including two women in the court. Defense counsel Ansar Kayani was also present.
The police requested the court to parade the identity of all the detained persons. However, the defense counsel opposed it and said that the accused has been in police custody for six days. He referred to the decision of the Islamabad High Court regarding the process of identification parade. The arrested persons are facing charges in cases filed in Kohsar police station and other police stations including Karachi Company, Margalla, Secretariat and Tarnool. He was detained on November 24 during a PTI protest at D Chowk.
