India has been stripped of its rights to host the 2025 Blind Women’s T20 World Cup after New Delhi dragged its feet over visa approvals and travel permits after its decision not to travel to Pakistan to play in the ongoing men’s event. is

The decision was taken during a meeting of the World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) in Multan, where India’s refusal to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to its team for the ongoing tournament in Pakistan has raised concerns with the authorities. It gave rise to a heated debate between

India, due to its short-sighted policies and lack of vision, is known for denying visas to the Pakistani team, leading to the decision to cancel the hosting rights. India had also denied visas to Pakistan’s blind cricket team for the Blind World Cup 2022.

The council also decided that Pakistan and India will not host international blind cricket until the tensions between the two countries are resolved.

The two countries will only host their events at neutral venues where visa and NOC issues do not stand in the way of participation.

Apart from this, in the meeting, it was also decided to retain Pakistan’s Syed Sultan Shah as the chairman of WBCC.

Pakistan qualified for the final of the ongoing Blind Twenty20 World Cup 2024 by defeating Nepal by 10 wickets in the first semi-final at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Chasing a modest target of 95 runs, the home side scored the winning runs in just 5.3 overs without losing a wicket.

The Green Shirts will face Bangladesh in the final of the Blind T20 World Cup 2024, which will be played at the same venue on Tuesday.
