Sources told Geo News that the crucial meeting of the ICC board, which lasted practically for about 15 minutes, included discussions between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Officials attended.
During the meeting, the parties presented their proposals regarding the conduct of the prestigious tournament, with the board directing the parties to find a solution in “mutual consultation”.
Sources added that the two cricket boards would find an option “acceptable to all” with the help of the ICC.
He said that a logical option for the Champions Trophy would be explored in the next 24 to 48 hours, adding that the boards would give their final opinion after consulting their respective governments.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has strongly opposed the hybrid model in which the match against India will be played at a neutral venue.
The PCB has conveyed its firm stand to the ICC, with chairman Mohsin Naqvi saying: “We will tolerate setbacks, but not at the cost of our dignity.”
The PCB has reportedly finalized most of the arrangements for hosting the event and has sought an acceptable solution ahead of the ICC meeting.
