Sukkur: JUI(F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman while addressing the Babul Islam Conference in Sukkur on Thursday said that the mandate of the people was stolen in the February 8 elections, JUI(F) won 16 seats in the National Assembly. Reduced to 8.
The JUI(F) rejected the elections as rigged, he said, adding that domestic and foreign observers also termed the elections as ‘fake’. He asked the government to resign and hand over the reins of government to JUI(F). We will bring prosperity and development to the country.
He said that only the people of Sindh have the right to the resources of Sindh, no one else has the right to usurp the rights of the people of Sindh.
If a movement starts, I will be at the forefront. I want to tell the establishment and arrogant politicians to get out of the way, we will take over the country.
Admit your failure, the country is bleeding due to bad governance. The JUIF chief added that the country is being pushed towards anarchy, the state is losing its writ and the country is heading towards a blind alley.
He further said that the situation in KP and Balochistan is not good because the rulers have failed to control it.
He said that JUIF believes in tolerance in politics and flexibility in negotiations, every political party has the right to hold rallies and protest.
He further said that he was assured that bullets would not be used against the protesters, then why did they use bullets at D Chowk. JUI-F has condemned the illegal action against PTI workers.
He said that the present parliamentarians and their patrons are exploiting the constitution and passing laws according to their interests.
Meanwhile, JUIF leaders Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro, Maulana Asad Mehmood, Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, Dr. Ibrahim Jatoi and others also addressed the conference and said that they will not allow anyone to build canals on the Indus River.
