All designated banks across the country will be open on Saturday and Sunday on November 30 and December 1 to receive Hajj 2025 applications for the convenience of citizens.
According to a circular issued by the State Bank today, the branches of designated banks will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 2:30 pm to facilitate the receipt of Hajj applications along with Hajj 2025 pilgrims’ dues. .
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has designated 15 banks across the country to collect Hajj applications and dues from Hajj 2025 pilgrims from November 18, 2024 to December 3, 2024.
About 179,210 Pakistanis will perform Hajj next year under the government scheme at a cost of between Rs 1,075,000 and Rs 1,175,000.
Religious Affairs Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain said that 179,210 Pakistanis will perform Hajj, while citizens under the age of 12 will not be allowed to perform Hajj.
Detailing the expected expenditure of a pilgrim to visit the holiest sites in Saudi Arabia, the minister announced that it would be between Rs 1,075,000 and Rs 1,175,000.
A pilgrim will have to deposit Rs 200,000 with the Haj application and Rs 400,000 after being selected through a lottery, while the remaining payments will be made by February 10, 2025.
In case of cancellation, the first installment will be refunded after deducting Rs.50,000, while in case of non-payment of the third installment, Rs.200,000 will be deducted and no refund will be made after 10 February 2025. .
The minister said that under the policy, the compensation for the heirs of the deceased has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
The members of the federal cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the Hajj Policy 2025 last week.
It added that as per the policy, 1,000 seats will be reserved for hardship cases and 300 seats will be reserved for laborers and low-income employees who are under Employees’ Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) or Workers’ Welfare. are registered under the Fund.

Hajj group organizers will sign a service provider agreement with the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which will be closely monitored.
It was informed that for the convenience of pilgrims, a new post of administrator has been introduced. For each group of 100 pilgrims, a moderator will be appointed, selected from among the welfare staff.
The cabinet members were informed that a special Hajj management app has been developed for the convenience of pilgrims and arrangements have been made for their training.
