LAFC Rejected the contract option for Carlos Vela.but remains in talks with the Mexican forward about his future.
Vela initially parted ways with the Los Angeles team after the end of the 2023 season when his contract expired, before resigning on a one-year deal with LAFC mid-season on 16 September 2024.
The most recent deal included a club option for 2025, but the club refused to activate the clause.

He holds the league record for most goals by a player in a single season with 34 goals in 31 games.
