Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Asif Haider Shah on Tuesday directed the Karachi Police Chief to ensure strict security arrangements during the 17th World Urdu Conference of Arts Council to be held from December 5 to December 8.
CS chaired a meeting to discuss security arrangements for the Urdu conference. Karachi Arts Council President Mohammad Ahmad Shah appreciated the CS for the successful security arrangements of the Council’s World Culture Festival.
He thanked the provincial government for its continued cooperation and hoped for better arrangements this time. He said that people from America, Europe, Japan and the Middle East will participate in the Urdu conference, while a large number of people from India are also willing to participate in this event.
The CS directed the city police chief to ensure strict security measures during the Urdu conference. He also directed the traffic police chief to keep the flow of traffic smooth in the city.
