WhatsApp users are expressing frustration over a new update that replaces the traditional “typing…” message with a more animated chat bubble. The Daily Mail Reported
The change, which many say was implemented without proper notice, has drawn widespread criticism on social media.
The update removes the static “typing…” indicator, replacing it with an animated bubble that appears below the most recent message. Although minor, the tweak has become a hot topic among users, some of whom find it annoying and unnecessary.
On platforms like X (formerly Twitter), complaints have been flooding in, with one user noting, “WhatsApp now has a three-dot typing thing like iMessage, and I hate it.” Others have gone further, calling the animation “anxiety-inducing” and “stressful”.
The feature, which mirrors a similar gesture in iMessage, is expected to roll out to all users soon despite negative feedback.
