Madison Keys comfortably defeated Jessica Pegula in straight sets on Monday to secure her spot. US Open Quarter Finals
Keys won 6-1 6-3 against world No. 3 Pegola to reach her second straight title. The Grand Slam Quarter-finals – the same stage she reached at Wimbledon earlier in the year.

World No. 17 Keys will face reigning Wimbledon champion Marketa Vandrossova in the next round.
During an on-court interview after his win, Keys said that playing in the US Open always motivates him to perform at his best.
“Absolutely, I’ve had a lot of wonderful moments in New York,” Keys said. “Being able to come back from difficult positions in matches at any moment, in front of these crowds, has been amazing.”
Pegula – born in Buffalo, New York, and whose parents own the NFL franchise, the Buffalo Bills – was a home crowd favorite against Florida resident Keys.
However, despite the majority of the attendance at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Pegola never looked comfortable against the Keys.
It resulted in a dominant opening set for the 28-year-old Keys, who raced into a set lead with just one game to spare to seal the fourth-round clash.
Pegula showed signs of fighting back in the second set, but it was to no avail and Keys broke serve again to take control of the match.
A series of unforced errors continued to kill Pegola’s hopes of a comeback, with Keys able to seal a stunning victory in just 61 minutes.
For Keys – a finalist at the US Open in 2017 – it is the first time he has made the last eight of consecutive majors since the Australian Open and Roland Garros in 2018.
This is her first win over a top-five seed at a Grand Slam since beating Barbora Krejkova in the quarter-finals of the 2022 Australian Open.
