General Zhang Yuxia, Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC) praised Pakistan Army’s commitment and professionalism in the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
A statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that he said this during a meeting with Army Chief General Asim Munir at General Headquarters Rawalpindi.
The senior Chinese military official visited GHQ along with a high-level delegation, where they reiterated China’s commitment to further strengthen this enduring relationship, ISPR said.
First, COAS Munir and CMC Vice Chairman Uxia had a one-on-one meeting followed by delegation-level discussions.
The meetings focused on issues of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, measures for regional stability and enhancing bilateral defense cooperation.
General Munir stressed on the sustainable and timeless nature of Pakistan-China relations, stressing on the basis of mutual trust and cooperation.
The Army Chief affirmed that this historic partnership has stood the test of time and is poised to grow further.

Earlier, on reaching GHQ, General Yuxia laid floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan. He was given a warm welcome in which the armed forces of the Pakistan Army also presented a guard of honour.
