Newly released bodycam footage shows the arrest of a Democratic official who made inappropriate comments about a male police officer. Being arrested For a DUI.
Cook County Board of Review Commissioners Samantha Steele, 45, was arrested on Nov. 10 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. At that point, she was found lying on the ground near two badly parked vehicles.
According to a police report obtained by FOX 32 Chicago, an intoxicated Steele admitted to crashing the car. Officers also found an open bottle of red wine on the floor of his vehicle.
“I noticed his eyes were bloodshot and glassy,” an officer wrote in the report. “I also detected a strong odor [an] When she spoke, there was an alcoholic drink coming from her breath.”

The police report states that the intoxicated officer repeatedly asked a male officer if his penis is that small. Censored bodycam footage during his arrest did not show the exchange.

Eventually, several officers ask Steele to get out of his car, which he refuses to do. The footage also shows Steele appearing to express her status as a government official.
“If you don’t get out of the car, I’ll help you out,” a policeman was heard saying. “And you don’t want that.”
“You don’t want that,” Steele replied. “I’m an elected official.”

Steele continued back and forth with officers and dialed his attorney. On another occasion, Steele told an officer, “I’m an elected official, I don’t want any of this.”
The Cook County official was on the phone with his attorney when the officer asked him to take a sobriety test one last time.
“Now, tell your attorney, okay, since he’s on the phone, are you going to take a field sobriety test or not?” asked the officer.
“No,” Steele replied, causing the police to handcuff him against his will.
“I told him to do it [a] A field sobriety test, and he refused,” an officer is heard saying on the footage. And it smells of alcohol. She’s drinking… you’re recorded now.”
