Racing Louisville FC announced Monday that he has mutually agreed to part ways with general manager Ryan Dell.
Deal becomes the team’s first GM before the 2023 season after nine years with the U.S. Soccer Federation. ESPN confirmed that his contract ran through the end of 2024 with a mutual option for 2025.
Racing Louisville announced that the decision was made as Dale “explores another opportunity in the soccer industry.”

Louisville has finished ninth in all four seasons of its NWSL existence, including both years under Deal. The club has yet to make it to the playoffs.
This season was the first in charge for 36-year-old head coach Beau Yanez, a former NWSL player. In a statement, the club said it “intends to move swiftly on the appointment of its next general manager.”
Louisville joins the Portland Thorns, Houston Dash And B.F.C As NWSL teams currently without a full-time general manager.
Dale comes to Louisville with a background in football operations through US Soccer. She started as the support staff manager for the US Women’s National Team at the 2015 and 2019 World Cups before assuming the position of team administrator and then team manager.
His connection to US Soccer brought the USWNT to Louisville against friendly Argentina In October, the team’s first game in the city in 20 years.
