Director Explains Rethinking Big Death in ‘Yellowstone’

Yellowstone At the beginning of the Season 5B premiere, it was suggested that John Dutton died by suicide. However, the main character’s death was revised in episode 11.

In the episode Three Fifty-Three, the series creators revealed that Kevin Costner’s character was actually killed, and his killers created a scene that implied that he took his own life.

Director Christina Voros explained. THR In an interview, why did he feel it was important to give details about his death?

“It’s not something you can pull off in an exhibition,” the filmmaker added. “It doesn’t make any sense. I also think the violation wouldn’t be felt the same way.”

“There’s something terrifying about people breaking into your house and strangling you, and then killing you and calling it a suicide.”

He continued, “There’s no way that resonates unless you see it. In our story, it’s also the last moment we’re with John.”

“To create this character who is so brave and brave and great and strong, the violation of this person is carefully removed when they think they are safe and facing this horrible death, it is infuriating. It’s going to happen.”

“Beth and Case, and Wes weren’t there. They’re solving the mystery. But I think it’s important for the audience to witness that,” he noted.
