2024 WCWS: No. 2 Oklahoma wins fourth consecutive national title


For the fourth consecutive season, the Oklahoma Sooners are the Women’s College World Series champions.

The No. 2 Sooners are the first Division I school to win four consecutive softball national titles thanks to their sweep of No. 1 Texas.

Oklahoma came out of the gate swinging, beating the Longhorns 8-3 in Game 1. In their 8-4 win in Game 2, Oklahoma dominated on offense early when Cassidy Pickering hit a home run to left field to give the Sooners the lead. bottom of the second inning.
