ISLAMABAD: Two leaders and former ticket holders of Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) Malik Amanat Rawal from PP-4 and Syed Atif Hussain Shah from PP-5 Attock have joined Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed Malik Amanat Rawal and Syed Atif Hussain Shah on joining the People’s Party. Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider was also present with Bilawal in the meeting. Bilawal directed Governor Punjab to organize People’s Party in every district of Punjab. Sardar Salim Haider said that the people of Pakistan will elect Bilawal Bhutto as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He said that People’s Party will get a clear majority in the whole of Pakistan including Punjab in the upcoming general elections. He said that the People’s Party knows how to claim its right at every level including Punjab. Malik Amanat Rawal contested the general elections of February 2024 from Punjab Assembly Constituency PP-4 from where he got 43685 votes from the platform of TLP against Muslim League (N) candidate Sher Ali Khan who got 48593 votes. Achieved success. Syed Atif Hussain Shah contested the election from PP5 on the platform of TLP and came third with 41315 votes. Sardar Faizan Haider, Malik Sher Ali Khan, Malik Asif Khan, Haji Malik Sadriyal, Haji Akhtar Ali and others were present in the meeting. Malik Noor Muhammad Rao, Sardar Ahsan Ali Khan, Malik Asghar Hanjara, Malik Rizwan Majeed, Malik Wajahat Sadriyal and Syed Mujtaba Haider were also present on this occasion. Meanwhile, senior PPP leader Nadeem Afzal Chan also met Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Matters related to Punjab were discussed in the meeting. PPP Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Chaudhry Yasin and General Secretary Faisal Rathore met Chairman PPP at Zardari House Islamabad. The political situation of Azad Kashmir was discussed in the meeting. Former Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira was also present on this occasion.
