A major incident of arson occurred in Banjar Sab under Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. On the very first day of the year 2025, 17 houses of Tangi village are completely burnt to ashes, besides causing damage to six cow-shelters of the village.
According to the information, 17 houses were burnt and there was a loss of around 10 crore rupees. The cause of the fire is not yet clear. Banjar MLA Surinder Shourie also reached the spot to help the people. Apart from this, the natives of Banjar are also at ground zero. Pankaj Sharma, SM of Banjar, said that a fire causes a loss of Rs 10 crore in the village. The families are being given relief money and essential items.
Himachaldesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu expressed grief over the incident. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh said, “Houses have been damaged in a fire today in Tan Banjar village of Kalu district and immediate action has been taken and war footing has been initiated at the scene of heavy damage. Relief amount of Rs. 1500 to the victims. And it is distributed that they give all possible help to the vigilant and powerful families in the relief work.
Banjar MLA Surinder Shourie said that people are worried about the fire in the village. Individuals were assisted by local people. Apart from this, they are also provided with other assistance. He said that he himself is helping people at ground zero. The incident of fire in the village is very sad.
